Food in the Cafeteria

While we are staying at the university, we have been eating some of our meals at the cafeterias.  This is the same place where the Chinese students eat most of their meals.  The prices are very reasonable, the quantities are large, and it is hot and fresh.  The hardest part is figuring out the payment and ordering system.  The picture below shows Jill and Timothy getting ready to enjoy their lunch.

Timothy is having a bowl of jiaozi, which are dumplings in a soup base.

Jill is having tangmian, which is noodle soup.  The noodles are made fresh right at the ordering station and essentially cooked to order.

This evening we will have been invited out for dinner by Dr Lin, who is the head of the Bioengineering group at the college.
